Vintage door trials

We purchased some lovely backdrops just before christmas and the vintage doors was one of them.

They haven't been selected for any shoots yet so thought I would offer free photo shoot to demonstrate our backdrop.

We had little 3 year old Romani who had the most gorgeous dress and shoes to go with our backdrop.  We had purchased some lovely bits to create a dressing table and we borrowed a lovely vintage pram from Romani.

The photos are lovely and really showed our new backdrop in action. Hopefully people will be able to see the new backdrop now and may prove to be a popular one. 

Thank you to mum Rosie for bringing Romani along even tho she was a little under the weather. They will receive a lovely free print for their time.

1st Birthday Shoot Isobel

Sarah had bought Isobel for a photo shoot at the end of last year and wanted to rebook for her 1st birthday.

Little Isobel is a miracle baby and born at only 30 weeks is doing very well.  Sarah decided on a pink fairy theme, and our cake supplier - Hollies Sweet Cakes - suggested a pink coloured sponge and pink buttercream icing.  

Isobel arrived and had the most gorgeous christening gown which we had some photos in first.  After a quick change we bought the presents and cake.

Isobel loved the balloons - from our supplier - bumble bee balloons- and loved playing with the ribbon, she enjoyed ripping the present open which is great practice for her birthday in 2 weeks time x

1st birthday photo shoot - Callum

Sarah booked with us at least 6 months in advance and planning started almost straight away. 

Both excited we searched themes and styles and Sarah after many decision changes settled on a plain white background with blue decorations, blue cake and helium balloons -again in blue.

She planned the outfits great and settled on some monkey dungerees, a 'I am 1' tshirt with cap and a nappy cover, bow tie and hat as the final outfit.

Callum loved the balloons and we created some lovely scenes using toys, number 1 decorations, blackboards, presents and of course the cake.

He loved the cake and was happy tasting the icing.

Mum and Dad picked some lovely photos and a 9square montage has been chosen x

1st birthday shoot - Amelia

Little Amelia turned 1 at the end of Jan and celebrated in style with one of our creative cake smash birthday shoots.   Her mum picked our lovely vintage wooden background with hearts and a lovely pink giant cupcake.

Amelia came with her mum and two aunties and we had fun chasing her round the studio.

She played with balloons and opened her present which she enjoyed doing.  After a quick outfit change we bought in the cake.  She was a little unsure at first but eventually got the hang of it and enjoyed tasting the buttercream.  It was funny towards the end as she tried putting the cake back together lol

We had fun and mum was very pleased that she has booked with us for Dec for her other daughters 1st birthday.

Photo Shoot Day - Feb

Had a lovely day catching up with old customers and meeting new.

Laura was our first customer with Esmie - what a cutie, she was adorable and so good - what a little poser x. We used the brown spots background with pink bunting.   

 

We then met little Freddie and mum Gemma - such a little star who loved our giant hedgehog x we used our very popular natural hearts background. 

 

 

It was then double trouble with cousins Ronnie and Molly, we had lots of fun and mums Milly and Laura were kept on their toes.  We used the animal abc background which looked so cute.

I then had a visit from a previous customer Jenny (we did their wedding) who bought her new 3 week old baby Charlotte.  She was a little monkey and wanted her mum all the time x we captured some lovely photos of her and her big sister Sophie using our vintage wodden hearts background x

Jessica then bought little Lewis to the studio.  We used a standard white background.  He was a little cutie and loved the trucks but got tired very quickly. X

Lisa & Karl's Wedding @ 3 Horseshoes, Leek - 25.01.14

We had the pleasure in photographing the wedding of Lisa & Karl at the 3 horseshoes Inn, Leek.

To say it was January the morning was stunning with blue skies and lots of sun. I had so much fun with the Bride and the girls during bride preparations and we never stopped laughing. 

The bride and the bridesmaids arrived to the venue at 1.15 ready for the ceremony at 1.30pm.  The 2 cars were beautiful and the sky was still blue.

The ceremony was stunning and the couple gave their vows to each other and we captured the special moments (including the garter slipping off lol). During the signing of the register the heavens opened and we had the most horrendous thunder storm which resulted in outside photos being a no no!  

This didn't stop the bride and groom smiling though and had our photos inside, we did manage to take the couple outside with the cars though and got some in the rainy grey sky - still was beautiful and the couple looked fantastic.

We had lots of fun with the 3 bridesmaids who enjoyed posing for the cameras, and little Evie being only 2 was a little gem. 

We left the wedding party at 3.30pm when they sat down for the wedding breakfast, but not leaving without pinching a sweet or two from the sweetie bar ;) 

The bride and groom are thrilled with the photos and we are in the process of designing them a 35 page leather bound premium album with aluminium cover and specialty paper.

Some photos from the day follow including some cheeky little out takes that the couple love, and Lisa cried with laughter at them as we enjoyed her fruit wedding cake. x
